Not sure if this will help in your current situation, but it's worth knowing that the British town of "Doncaster" would be said exactly the same if it was actually called "Dong Caster".

Do not eat a pack of watch batteries under any circumstances.

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Do they get aggressive or what?

[–] InvalidName2@lemmy.zip 2 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

They gave me a super power. But it was one of the cursed super powers where there's a catch to using it, the type of thing you'd wish for from a genie but the wish he grants you is twisted into diabolical torture that taps deep into your darkest fears. They also made everything look like the world was spinning clockwise.

[–] LORDSMEGMA@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

So eating individual watch batteries is okay?

[–] InvalidName2@lemmy.zip 3 points 6 days ago

I can only confirm the pack is unsafe, unsure what happens if you stick to smaller doses.

[–] BucketBong@p.hobo.social 4 points 6 days ago

I once knew something, I think.

[–] mergingapples@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

Did you know: During the American civil war, the king of Siam (present day Vietnam) offered the Union two elephants to assist in the war effort.

Lincoln politely refused.

Probably wise, I'd hate to see reenactments with elephants miming getting shot
