As a black dude, I'm not even surprised. First they erase it, then they claim it wasn't that bad, then it never happened, etc. It's exhausting, and seeing the history of Africans being erased in real time is so painful.

What's wild to me is it wasn't even just a class about American slavery. It was a class about slavery in general, beginning in antiquity. It was a course a lot of people took along with history of empire and the 4 (fucking 4) roman history courses
