you can get a couple of cans out of a hello kitty but you have to use all of the buffalo as it were

I helped design the interstate bridge over the river by the SPAM HQ; and im kicking myself at not knowing enough geography at the time to refer to it as the Straits of Hormel sadness-abysmal

the apocalypse is happening where I live

I bought a can of this because I have no electricity and it's shelf stable

I have no electricity but I have Hello Kitty Spam

[–] Chana@hexbear.net 5 points 5 days ago

Someone's gonna buy this and store it in a humid garage for 30 years as a collectible.

Like, appart from the carnism spam is good right? Like, it is a clasism thing for people yeah? Also rascism

[–] KobaCumTribute@hexbear.net 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It's extremely salty and all the preservatives are the specific things that make "ultraprocessed" foods bad for people, but other than that yeah it's basically just an uncased sausage and the reason it's "gross" is because people don't bother cooking it so it's like eating a cold hotdog straight from the package.

i've had it warm on a bun and it was way too fucken salty for me.

It rocks in fried rice

[–] ClathrateG@hexbear.net 4 points 6 days ago

Yeah a lot of white haoles have a problem with natives and their use of spam

it's just sausage at the end of the day, sausage never really looks that great in the first place and canned food being bad is its own stigma

highly preserved food definitely has a class element too

Anyone remember the mall store Sanrio Surprises?

Maybe this was the surprise Sanrio meant for us to have.

Little known fact: Hello Kitty was a kaiju.
