They are playing the system. They know eventually a judge will hold them responsible. Their last move is who will enforce it... the DOJ?
Individual lawyers can have their law licenses revoked for their involvement. Not everyone is willing and able to sacrifice everything for the Orange shit gibbon
I'd argue that by this point, any lawyers with integrity who worked there are already gone.
In the spirit of calling cops pigs, I'm thinking we should start calling DOJ lawyers joey: little kangaroos, with their little kangaroo courts.

Now, anyone they hired into the circus to try and replace them surely lacked integrity as a prerequisite.
The article you posted says one small division in DOJ lost 70% of its attorneys. The DOJ didn't lose 70% of its attorneys. There are a LOT more divisions in DOJ than just Civil Rights. Also, the picture showed is a lot smaller than what it actually is because each box can break down into more than 1 office.

Used to be, DOJ didn't have to do that because they had massive numbers of excessively qualified applicants climbing over each other to apply.
They didn't say integrity, they said law license. You don't need integrity for one of those.
A federal judge can fine every lawyer that worked on any part of this $5000 a day until they quit the DoJ or the judge has the files in hand. That's civil contempt and there isn't a fucking thing the DoJ can do about it.

No chance they do it now. They'll do it when Trump is likely already dead, if (and only if) a proper democrat and congress comes into power, and when the sentiment tides signifigantly shift. Then they will probably get 1-2 lawyers on the hook, take their license, and give them a consultant role elsewhere in government as an olive branch. Justice. I sure hope to be proven wrong, but something tells me we won't learn from Reconstruction.

The president has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing, and one’s appearance in the Epstein files does not suggest otherwise.
