This article makes the case that New Mexico has sufficient public evidence, today, to open a criminal investigation into Attorney General Todd Blanche for bribery of a witness, tampering with evidence, and conspiracy, and that opening one requires nothing but a decision by elected officials who answer to the public.

All of these motherfuckers should be in prison, and Donvict is an illegitimate president.

[–] mufkin@lemmy.zip 3 points 6 days ago

This means jack shit now if true.

So you mean to tell me a blatantly corrupt business person who somehow sleezed his way into the highest government position based on bullshit corruption racism, and has done nothing but blatantly, publicly perform extensive corruption in every aspect facing zero repercussions...appointed his personal lawyer to the highest chair possible just shy of the SCOTUS, and said lawyer has been exposed to have abused and corrupted every aspect of his job as a lawyer?

If you were to ask me rank this in how shocked I am in this scenario on a scale of one to ten, I'd rank this about a -12

Elected officials do not in fact answer to the public. It was always a bit of a sham to get the pacivity of a democratically sated populace while maintaining effective aristocracy, but even that is obviously over. Advertising has become too advanced and your social reproductive apparatus (education) too degraded.

You will need to do real democracy, or admit you're just slaves.

And you're Americans, so I know how much you like your slavery.

excuse me, what?

[–] bjc@scribe.disroot.org 1 points 6 days ago

i'm 14 and this is deep

[–] bjc@scribe.disroot.org 1 points 6 days ago

don't worry, guys, the democrats will save us!

I'm sure he will get right on investigating himself.

NM is a very blue state, and like most politicians at this point, very invested in the culture war.

[–] frunch@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

Oh man, now I'm actually feeling a twinge of optimism. Damn you lol

[–] MantisToboggon@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

Clearly it's a federal issue and they will be taking over.

[–] Arancello@aussie.zone 15 points 1 week ago (6 children)

They keep thumbing their nose at you americans and still you do nothing. 35% of you think they are doing great. Didnt you cry to keep weapons so you could stand against a corrupt government? so here you have even more evidence of corruption. Now where is your NRA?

[–] BassTurd@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Fwiw, I'd imagine of the people that were pushing hard in support of the 2A, most but not all we're conservative. Of those 35% you referenced, I bet almost all of those contribute to that group of hard fast 2A supporters. There is a large portion of us that didn't vote for this, don't support 2A, and hate the current state of affairs.

I support the 2A amendment and I hate Donald Trump and hate the current administration and state of affairs

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

The public has weapons to defend the corrupt govt that doesnt care about the public. Its what the founding fathers wanted.

[–] Corvidae@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

The NRA has been in support of Trump. They have had their own corruption issues. One of the state AGs went after them. The unfortunate fact is that lobbyists have loud megaphones on the internet and like the rest of us, anonymous usernames.

[–] Funkt4st1c@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

The glowies are glowing quite bright this time of year

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

Not sure what you expect us to do? Citizens arrest of Blanche?

Also, the people that clamored for having an unchecked arsenal are generally the types that would love to be drafted into death squads for Donnie and so they probably really wanted the weapons for such a scenario.

They don't give a flying fuuuuck about the rule of law, freedom, or the Constitution.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 0 points 6 days ago

The same people who say that are the same people who support maga.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 10 points 1 week ago

Instead he gets to be the one to put us in prison and he'll even make us pay for it. People are not mad enough.

[–] slickgoat@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sounds like an automatic pardon to me.

It's not like these guys experience consequences.

[–] in_my_honest_opinion@piefed.social 23 points 1 week ago (2 children)

And people would say you couldn't elect a convicted felon, yet here we are

[–] slickgoat@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

In these times, I stopped saying that things can't happen.

[–] JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

So far it's held true that Trump can't do it himself. He had to bully the governor to do it for him the last time he tried.

[–] Floon@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Aaaand nothing will happen.

[–] BassTurd@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

Well, not with that attitude.

This comment is less useful than an astrological reading.

[–] meat@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Do we think laws apply to these people?

[–] iThinkDifferentThanU@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)
[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

So are you actually gonna do something about it or just make 12 more posts about guillotines thinking it's a contribution?

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The headsman’s axe is more efficient. Portable, too.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I feel like a dull sword would do the trick

[–] BassTurd@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

I could do it with toothpicks if given the opportunity. How many billionaires and corrupt politicians do we have? I could knock that out in a week under less than ideal circumstances if needed. The guillotine is a great option for efficiency and shock though.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sure.

But it’s all about efficiency. We got a lot of assholes after all.

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 week ago

Right. More than one whack is the difference between 300 and 301 heads in a day.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

Well. Good thing he's now in charge of the Justice Department. That could have been awkward.
