God dammit they had to give it the fucking Zodiac treatment. I hate that I am going to watch this and probably like it.
it looks like such garbage. the first scene looks like an SNL sketch. then it just turns into a gritty rainy David Fincher movie immediately. it'll be hilarious or i'll fall asleep watching it.
i know nothing about Chris Hansen and his show outside of memes and parodies. every american comedy circa 2007-2012 had to have a parody of someone getting caught by this guy. so they can make up as many facts about him as they want for this movie, I don't care. give me flashbacks to a character-establishing backstory, tell me about how his mom was a french resistance fighter trapping wehrmacht perverts, tell me about how his dad lost a poker game to a pedophile and had to sell the family farm in north west south dakotaginia, tell me how young Chris started posting fake ads in the classifieds to find the poker pervert but never caught him. give me a scene where young adult Chris has a super-8 camera and assembles a team to catch pedos, but they can't think of a name for it, until someone is watching a nature documentary about catching lions and tigers. hell yeah
