Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

Years of feeding the sci-fi fueled interstellar fantasy, Kurzgesagt eventually had to admit its practically impossible. Forgive my stupid petty gloating, but it feels good to see.

Talking about leaving the solar system when there are currently no humans beyond low earth orbit is putting the cart light years before the horse.

You could get humanity to travel much further, if you could create artificial reproduction and send out a pod, that only activates under certain circumstances, however... the children of the pod wouldn't have any parents and there's a mountain of ethical issues that cannot be easily solved.

Is it because the solar system has head game like wowee

I would guess this is more of a "capitalist realism" sort of thing for them, discouraging people from dreaming big and telling them that this is the "best of all possible worlds." I have nothing but contempt for their slimy "just vote away climate change and also we must decrease the surplus population" chauvinism.

Other stars are very far away but never is also a very long time. Both are finite though

I feel sorry for every sorry bastard that watching this wannabe intellectual bazinga slop, I haven't watched any of their garbage but the whole thing about having a video about "have all wars ended" or whatever tje fuck it was without mentioning the genocide Israel is carrying out tells you enough

What's his argument? Is it the speed of light means we won't? I watched 60 seconds and I don't want to be a performing seal.

Everything is extremely far / there's not much worth visiting unless we invent warp drives

I remember learning that the entire Dyson sphere concept was made as a joke and it kinda sucked, but it also just reinforced that there is no Earth 2.0, there is no hope of finding salvation in space. We're here now and we have to fix the problems we've created in our only home in the universe. Maybe this kind of thing will make some of their audience think about it but they've also been following the channel that sells Bill Gates as the architect of our salvation and that sci-fi solutions are our best hope so I'll not hold my breath.
