Train aposematism
Took the amtrack from DC to NYC once after a conference. Used a GPS app on my phone - hit 125mph which surprised me. I realize that's not "fast" by international standards. Anyway, that train was 3 hours late and it almost canceled, fun times.
That's literally the best route we have in this country, too.
Wildest part - and the reason it delayed 3 hours - was issues switching the engine cars. South of DC the line runs diesel engines, north of DC they're electric. The entire thing is a mess. It's a shame, we deserve world class rail in this country.

Can't afford ther red paint to make them actually fast.
