If you drink, you should obviously try the Beer. If you eat meat, there's a lot of great sausage. There's a ton of small bars and restaurants off the path, and if you know any locals, get them to show you their favorite spots.
Walk a lot, it's fun. Take the subway, it's also fun. There's so much street art and fun graffiti everywhere.
Cool things to do in Berlin?.. Hmm... "Not stop there"
Sorry for the joke answer, hope you have a fun trip
Beat me to it.
The Turkish food is awesome. Get a doener
many will be had
Sudanese kebab is also a great option
No, get real Turkish food. Or get manakish in Neukölln.
But also get a Döner.
i miss street doeners, can't get em around here
Hope you're staying in the east.
The main attraction in summer is the city itself. Walk around Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain, Neukölln, grab food, a Späti beer, invite random people for a Pfeffi, try not to look too much down on the phone but at the funky streets filled with art, people and someones old furniture.
Only thing I would really recommend, is to not bother with Berghain or any other club that's too cool for its own good. There are plenty of opportunities to have a good time without wasting time in a long ass queue.
Ok cool, nice, simple as. Thanks
Treptow park. Awesome soviet memorial. With a beer garden a short walk away.
Awesome, will do
The Kulturforum (near Potsdamer Platz) has a large and to my knowledge kinda obscure art museum within it, with paintings from Italian and Dutch renaissance artists.
I went there on my last trip to Berlin on a comrade's recommendation and loved it.
I've been to Berlin like almost 10 times now and have mostly not done any tourist stuff beyond walking around, and it's still one of my favorite cities in the world. I usually go to see live shows of my GenX alt-slop bands when I'm there.
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I just went to the Gemaldegalerie inside the Kulturforum. Seems like the best kept secret - it was practically empty and dead and yet it's a fucking huge collection of masters. I couldn't believe it. Rooms of rembrants, some Bosch, Holbein, and on and on and on. You are a legend for this.
I had the same reaction tbh haha
Nice, I think we're going to potzdamer platz actually. Will defo go see that, I love all the art stuff. Thanks for the recommendation
Spati culture is awesome just walking around riding the u bahn. Get a beer, walk drink, walk into another spati turn in your bottle for credit get another beer keep walking.
Wow hell yeah
For more modern stuff/architecture, the Sony Center gave me some serious cyberpunk vibes especially after sunset.
Heading there to watch some footy this evening, looking forward to it
There are many vietnamese restaurants that offer great vegan food, like vegan "duck".
If the weather is hot, museums might be nice and cool. Like the Egyptian part of the "Neue Museum". Many museums or very close to each other.
That's nice and convenient
