The Kulturforum (near Potsdamer Platz) has a large and to my knowledge kinda obscure art museum within it, with paintings from Italian and Dutch renaissance artists.
I went there on my last trip to Berlin on a comrade's recommendation and loved it.
I've been to Berlin like almost 10 times now and have mostly not done any tourist stuff beyond walking around, and it's still one of my favorite cities in the world. I usually go to see live shows of my GenX alt-slop bands when I'm there.
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I just went to the Gemaldegalerie inside the Kulturforum. Seems like the best kept secret - it was practically empty and dead and yet it's a fucking huge collection of masters. I couldn't believe it. Rooms of rembrants, some Bosch, Holbein, and on and on and on. You are a legend for this.
I had the same reaction tbh haha
Nice, I think we're going to potzdamer platz actually. Will defo go see that, I love all the art stuff. Thanks for the recommendation
