Shohreh Aghdashloo as Avasarala is such an amazing actor in that role. It would be so easy for her to take the easy way for a politician part, but instead she delivers both the anger, heartbreak, triumph and sometimes helplessness that exists in true leadership that is rarely portrayed on screen.
The Expanse
She played it like she was born to play that specific role. I've read a few of the books, and Aghdashloo doesn't match the book's description of Avasarala, but I cannot imagine anyone else portraying her. So well done.
Where are you going with this?

If you didn't automatically read the last line in her voice, there's something wrong with you and you should see a doctor.
Every time I end up saying “everyone gets a pony and a blowjob,” I end up inflecting it a bit like her. She’s great.
I take every opportunity available to me to say

I'm reading the books now and i hear that raspy old lady in my head everytime.
That's got to be great
I guess it's time for my yearly rewatch
Same. I'm on this episode.
I've made through every audiobook, (Jefferson Mays is amazing, btw) and I just haven't gotten around to watching this yet, but Avasarala in the show is something I'm looking forward to.
I can't put in to words how much I love that woman
Ah, Ashur, always with a joke.
