I hope you're right. But the population needs to start caring about this first, and I don't think they do. Majority of people aren't concerned with privacy, is my feeling. They might become upset if you tell them their privacy is taken away, but they are easily fooled by saying it's for the children's safety, etc.
And people easily forget. Because of that very reason as well — that there's just so much other shit to deal with on a daily basis in life. 😮💨

The EU Council is the prime minister (or other head of state) of every EU country. They don't really need the EU to pass laws, it serves a purpose like the WEF for them where they discuss the laws without public input.
