Chat Control 1.0 passed, but isn't scary. Chat Control 1.0 says that a large company can read your messages if it wants to. We know they already do this and you're a fool if you are sending secret information on these platforms.
The scary part is they will definitely use the same trick to pass Chat Control 2.0 (the real Chat Control) and all sorts of other laws.

The EU Council is the prime minister (or other head of state) of every EU country. They don't really need the EU to pass laws, it serves a purpose like the WEF for them where they discuss the laws without public input.

Yeah 1.0 is definitely the entry point for 2.0 etc
