Did they meet on Numenor Island?

Release the Arwen Scrolls!

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 11 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Is there any evidence that she shagged him before he was 80?

[–] ruuster13@lemmy.zip 9 points 14 hours ago

She didn't wait. And when you're an elf, they let you do it.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 45 points 20 hours ago

She’s a youthful 2700 though.

He's also a descendant of her uncle. Arwen's kinda nasty.

I don't normally have cause to excuse cousin lovin, but 100 generations removed is probably enough.

[–] MycelialMass@lemmy.world 11 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Biologically 2nd cousin is pretty low risk amd 3rd cousins are almost the same as stramgers.

[–] hakase@lemmy.zip 3 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Arwen and Aragorn are 1st cousins though

[–] eodur@piefed.social 7 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

And who doesn't love some stramger lovin.

[–] MycelialMass@lemmy.world 5 points 15 hours ago

Stramgers is now permanently in my lexicon, right alongside berks (books).

"You're young enough to be the start of a new evolutionary branch from the distant descendants of my children.

That's super hot."

Love is love

Wasn't Aragorn in his mid 50s?

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world 40 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Just double checked, and he was raised by the elves from an even younger age, but he didn't meet Arwen until he was 20.

Aragorn loved her at first sight in his 20s but she didn't love him until he was 49 and they didn't marry until he was in his late 80s.

"And thus it was that Arwen first beheld him again after their long parting; and as he came walking towards her under the trees of Caras Galadhon laden with flowers of gold, her choice was made and her doom appointed."

So, less of a cradle robber and more of a groomer.

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world 22 points 18 hours ago

Phew, that's much better.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 7 points 15 hours ago

Really playing the long game there.

[–] Ludicrous0251@piefed.zip 7 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (1 children)

Elrond was basically his adoptive dad after he was dumped on the elves as a kid. Arwen is a borderline step sister (though he did not meet her until he was older)

[–] PugJesus@piefed.social 3 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Stepsister what are you doing

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 6 points 15 hours ago

Did the elves even have washing machines for him to get stuck in?

[–] psycotica0@lemmy.ca 8 points 20 hours ago

Not when they met, though

[–] 0x0@infosec.pub 7 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago)

[–] Akasazh@lemmy.world 14 points 18 hours ago

Make Arwen Galadriel again?

[–] PugJesus@piefed.social 5 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

They think that's Sydney Sweeney, probably. It is not.
