Going to see Backrooms soon and excited to see it. Surprised there hasn't been any other 100M domestic A24 movie honestly

I'm surprised too, also how relatively low their other succesful movies have earned globally, considering they continuously churn out high quality movies.

On a global basis, with north of $136M, Backrooms is poised to topple A24’s multi-Oscar winner Everything Everywhere All at Once ($148M) as their second highest grossing movie. Marty Supreme currently reigns as A24’s highest grossing movie ever with $191.3M worldwide — but that could ultimately change very soon as Backrooms continues to hoard cash.

Really crazy to me that’s all the money EEAAO made. It was such a praised movie that I assumed it did better. Part of me is sad A24 doesn’t make more money, but it also goes to show that you don’t always need a ton of money for good ideas.

I am so pumped that Kane Parsons has achieved this at 20.

And not at all surprised given the quality of the work he was putting out already when he was 14, like his "It's Better Here": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcyQ0W_jGss
