Nazis worried that other Nazis posting Nazi shit online might sour their Western revenue.

[–] lechekaflan@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

It would be interesting to see if a mutiny erupts within the IDF.

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 18 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Oh look, when you brainwash an entire generation into thinking a rival group are subhuman and not worthy of life, they'll think nothing of posting their war crimes online because they don't see themselves as doing anything wrong.

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

And it's a flex for them.

That's what happens when they glorify that behavior.

None of them are going to stop doing it.

"Israel is a nation of child killers, a nation of homicidal maniacs, of delusional liars. Its a nation that revels in death"

“What we’ve seen in the current conflict is it’s not just the volume [of the posts], but it’s also the fact that soldiers don’t shy away from uploading videos, sometimes with their face,” or other identifying features, said Eran Shamir-Borer, director of the Center for Security and Democracy at the Israel Democracy Institute. “They’re not even ashamed of what they’re doing.”

That behavior is ingrained from childhood.

They would need to have a cultural shift to stop soldiers from pridefully sharing their war crimes. In their twisted minds they think what they are doing is awesome.

[–] SulaymanF@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

Exactly. Why are these young people doing it? Because they’re showing off to their friends. Look at these Arabs I roughed up!”

Israeli social media today is what social media in the 1930s would look under Jim Crow, complete with lynching videos being posted. The settlers are gleefully posting videos of themselves bullying Palestinians out of their homes.

[–] Jankatarch@lemmy.world 4 points 8 hours ago

"Now what you are doing is perfectly good and justified, but you can't post about it for... reasons."

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 7 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

... a concerning uptick in recent years of respondents who believe that the IDF is held back from fulfilling its mission by upholding the principle of avoiding unnecessary killing and minimizing harm to innocent people. In October 2025, 65 percent of Jewish Israelis polled held that notion, up five percentage points from the year prior.

What the hell? Israelis want them to be more aggressive?

[–] almost_genocide@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

Yes. According to wikipedia Israel is more of a democracy than the United States. Israelis are getting exactly what they want from Bibi

[–] kurmudgeon@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What do you expect when the entire nation is a fucking corrupt institution, rotten at it's very core. It's being run by a man wanted by the ICC for war crimes. Fuck Israel and anyone who supports them. Also, fuck your religion, whatever it is. Religion breeds hate and is the cause of most of the world's problems.

[–] magic_smoke@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (1 children)

What if my religion is taking copious amounts of psychedelics and thinking about the law of conservation of mass?

[–] luciferofastora@feddit.org 1 points 9 hours ago

That sounds less like you telling other people how to live based on arbitrary premises that you have chosen to declare as fundamental axioms, and more like a damn good time.

[–] ashar@infosec.pub 95 points 1 day ago (1 children)

War crimes. The IDf are committing war crimes.

[–] 51dusty@lemmy.world 46 points 1 day ago (2 children)
[–] TheJesusaurus@piefed.ca 5 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

INSANE word choice, like ok maybe you don't wanna write war crime, though I don't know why when it's just a fact, but MISDEEDS? wanton murder, collective punishment, torture, genocide. Are these the misdeeds they mean?

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 3 points 10 hours ago

Who is Miss Deeds?

[–] bcgm3@lemmy.world 33 points 1 day ago

Lil' whoopsie-daisies

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 14 points 1 day ago

It's almost like they condone the misdeeds but don't want to admit it. Oh wait no it's not almost anything, it's exactly like that. It's exactly that.

[–] lmdnw@lemmy.world 52 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Imagine if the IDF soldiers just stopped committing war crimes. Imagine if legacy media companies didn’t tie themselves in knots trying to protect and defend Israeli war criminals. This timeline needs more vigilantes since the corrupt systems only work to protect the ruling class, despite their crimes.

[–] Iusedtobeanalien@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

Imagine if the US said no thanks Israel, stopped selling it arms, giving it hardworking american peoples taxes and put a stop to AIPACs political corruption

[–] Mr_Wobble@thelemmy.club 0 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I'm gonna go off on a bit of an unrelated rant here, but can we quit with the fucking "this timeline" shit, please? There is ONE timeline. You live in it. There wasn't some Marvel movie multiverse bullshit where we suddenly shifted into some "dark" timeline. There is THIS ONE REALITY which has a past that we can learn from, and a future that we are responsible for.

[–] TheJesusaurus@piefed.ca 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Fighting corruption with corruption seems not wise

[–] lmdnw@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

There has never in human history been a systemic change without violence. Every single shift in power away from the ruling class to the people has required bloodshed.

[–] dreamkeeper@literature.cafe 1 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago) (1 children)

This is just a blatant lie.

You always see the biggest cowards advocating for violence from the their couch. Bunch of shit talkers who never walk the walk.

[–] binux@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 hours ago

This is just a blatant lie.

On my planet we back up claims with evidence

[–] unknown@piefed.social 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

This timeline needs more vigilantes since the corrupt systems only work to protect the ruling class, despite their crimes.

If you're not going to do it, don't expect anyone else to. Go be a hero or stop praying for miracles.

[–] lmdnw@lemmy.world 0 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I’m sure a supporter of vigilantism would also be looking for good opportunities to act as such.

[–] unknown@piefed.social 4 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

Have you seen Clerks? It's an older Kevin Smith film and there's a lot of memorable lines in it, one that's stuck with me though is "shit or get off the pot", also "salsa shark" but that's unrelated as I'm not dipping tortilla chips right now.

I've done and still do what I can activism wise, my gripe has been with people being ignorant to the devestating climate collapse and resource depletion in our near future, and trying to mitigate the suffering by warning people against having kids.

I support activism and think if people have identified a 'thing that needs to be done' they should either do it, or stop endlessly talking about how someone else should.

[–] homes@piefed.world 10 points 1 day ago

That’s pretty hard to imagine

[–] ThePyroPython@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

After you then mate.

[–] sik0fewl@piefed.ca 31 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Genocide must be so normalized in Israel that they don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, to the point where it’s acceptable to post on social media.

It must be hard for the IDF to explain to its own soldiers why they shouldn’t post it when the entire population is brainwashed.

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 20 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Hey, Israel!

How about you treat the cause instead of the symptom?

[–] homes@piefed.world 10 points 1 day ago

That would require admitting wrongdoing.

[–] Wataba@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

There's only one cure when the cancer is rampant.

Euthanasia.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 21 points 1 day ago (1 children)

One way to do that would be to stop the endless misdeeds.

[–] homes@piefed.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I struggle to remember a time when they were not committing war crimes

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago

Maybe there wasn't one.

[–] Zaktor@sopuli.xyz 9 points 1 day ago

You can still do the "misdeeds", just stop posting them.

[–] HappyRapi@ani.social 10 points 1 day ago

You mean Israel, a nation where 80+ percent of its population supports the Palestinian Trail of Tears, would struggle to control the output of snuff films?

Well I'll be dammed. What a conundrum. Truly is a quagmire

[–] Zamboni_Driver@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago

What of the officers in their military just held the soliders accountable for their "misdeeds" that would be a straight forward way to reduce the number of "misdeeds".

[–] sns@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 day ago

Any current or former members of the IDF should be immediately arrested for war crimes as soon as they set foot in a civilized country.

[–] tirateimas@lemmy.pt 8 points 1 day ago

It tells a lot about the deep-rooted culture over there.

[–] MushuChupacabra@piefed.world 7 points 1 day ago

IDF struggles to throttle endless feed of soldiers posting who and what they are on social media

[–] brave_lemmywinks@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Just endless misdeeds. Some oopsies. Just a goof. A bit of a yikes.

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 day ago

I have a solution.

Actually I have two, but I can only really say one of them.
