West: China is evil and anyone that trades with them is morally bankrupt! We must rid ourselves of reliance on Chinese goods! Doesn't matter of we're screwing over our own citizens in the process, they should have put Western pride over their own livelihoods anyway!

China: Cool, we'll even help you wean yourselves off by restricting exports.

West: That just proves our point of how evil they are! They're depriving poor us of resources! How dare they!

I, for one, welcome our Chinese overlords.

Well maybe the australian pm shouldnt have immediately come out in support of the trump regime. There were even australian 'observers' on the usa nuclear sub that torpedoed the Iranian ship and left the survivors for dead

unironically defund the abc, it is imperialist trash i hate it

Interesting article. I’ve already been hearing about fertilizer shortages but I don’t know if this is directly related to sulphuric acid or if this is maybe? In addition to other natural fertilizers produced in the Middle East.

The problem is not china. I don’t think people commenting read the article. Not a big deal I guess but when you read the article the comments don’t make sense.

The shortage of sulphuric acid from Israel and Trump’s Iran War and other related effects will continue to hurt the world economy for years to come in ways we are only beginning to understand.

Exactly, China is just protecting their domestic supply here, but the real issue is that global supply chains were disrupted by the war on Iran, and we're seeing more and more ripples from that every single day.

Can't have 12V car batteries without sulfuric acid!
