I'm sad that I have not learned Chinese as a kid. I'm even more sad that I have not learned Chinese in college through our Confucius Institute. Guys who did elect to learn Chinese got to visit China later.
I am learning Chinese and currently am pushing for HSK3, still can't go to China.
Learning Mandarin and visiting China are things you can do now, still! I should know.
