Sure, his latest war is not going to plan. There are plenty of unknowns in Venezuela and the Cubans will not tolerate US imperialism.
If the US went in with the big stick, Cuba would fall in a week. Russia doesn’t have the heft to support Cuba at this time and a China doesn’t have the tradition and reach. Most Cubans have deep connections with the US and they know the different in quality of life. There’s be very little support from the population towards the regime. Cuba has barely any friends internationally.
That doesn’t make it right. But of all the countries to “take”, Cuba would be the simplest for the US. And Trump might just be mad enough to do it.

If I had a dollar for every time I read the "American military running out of ammo" story, I'd be richer than a Lockheed executive.
Americans are so easily gaslit on this shit. You can jump out behind a corner shouting "We don't have enough tomahawk missiles!" and they'll reflexively hand you $20B.
It's not that it can't be true they've expended a significant part of the stockpiles, it's more that the implication isn't that they won't be able to prosecute the ongoing or another war, just that they'll be somewhat limited by it and that if shit really hit the fan in the form of China for example they want to have a stab at it too then they could be in more trouble.
Reminds me a lot of the similar stockpile counting with regards to Russia in Ukraine.

Same plan as Iran:
- Send the US military to bomb a bunch of stuff.
- Iran Immediately folds and capitulates to all our demands.
It’s the most bestest plan ever that only the brilliant minds of Trump & Hegseth could have come up with.
You can’t really compare though. Iran is a vast country, and the logistics around re supply is different. Cuba is a morsel.
Putin can't do much here. Sanctions on trade are pretty much to highest extent.

So now we're off to murder a whole bunch of innocent Cubans for literally no reason beyond that probably the president was paid by someone to do this, after which we'll break our nose bloody again and fail, after which we'll look like even bigger losers to the entire world, after which we'll just declare victory and leave.
