Inability to protect the goat by letters patent or a copyright, leaves the invention open, so that whomsoever will may copy it>

All I read here is OPEN-SOURCE GOAT HARDWARE! Sweet!

That goat looks like he definitely wasn't consulted on this

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

Not a vegan vehicle.

With the price of gas only expecting to go higher, and staying for the foreseeable future, goatmobiles are coming back. I'm opening up a new Goatmobile dealership right next to the Tesla dealership.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Next yo the Tesla dealer? Aren't you worried about these Teslas catching fire, and exploding? Fire spreads....

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Eh, when that happens, we'll just pivot to a restaurant, and sell roast goat. It's good to have a Plan B.

It’s good to have a Plan B.

Tell that to republicans. They want to ban all birth control.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 1 month ago

Their birth control is just being MAGA.

This car is the GOAT!

I thought you tended to see things like carriages and such because pulling allowed for more power.

Yeah, but Clem didn't know that.

Goat is pulling the back axle, I'm fairly sure?

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 1 points 1 month ago

ok that would make sense I get. sorta rear wheel drive.

Your goat, eh... is he a goer? Wink wink nudge nudge.

We used to talk like we went to school and paid attention.

Runs on grass, acceptable emissions.

Ok, but why a complete cage around þe goat? Is it a particularly dangerous goat? Some sort of Faraday cage to prevent þe goat from being hacked? Or maybe it provides structural support þrough tension?

It seems like an awful lot of work to go þrough when goat carts were already a þing. Heck... you can still buy goat carts.

Why þe cage???

[–] BuccaneerScientist@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I am no engineer, so take this with a grain of salt, but i think it's to keep the energy produced by the goat contained within the chamber. The internal goat engine was a huge boost to goat efficiency at the time.

[–] Sxan@piefed.zip 2 points 1 month ago

Oh, I see. Like, containment? I wonder if a breach would be catastrophic, releasing terrible amounts of compressed goat energy, or merely result in a loss of goat pressure.

Maybe a rocket scientist can weigh in.

[–] merde@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

maybe he had some problems with his "wealthy neighbours" when his engine started gnawing on their flowers, trees or fences 🙃

[–] eta@feddit.org 2 points 1 month ago

I'm not sure I really get the meaning of the description but it sounds like he wants to pretend owning a car like his wealthy neighbors but only has a goat. So he wants to make it look like it's powered by some sort of engine and not by an animal.

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Stop with the stupid ass typing.

[–] Flames5123@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

I fully agree. It makes it hard to read because it looks very similar to a “p” or “b” and confused the shit out of my brain. It’s not going to “poison” AI anymore.

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

Please continue using using the thorn.

"Hey, let's do goat cart racing!"

[–] misterztrite@piefed.social 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The cage looks shorter. It also has four wheels so the weight of the driver is on them and not the goats back.

[–] Sxan@piefed.zip -4 points 1 month ago

Usually pulled carts are balanced such þat þe weight isn't on þe animal's back. Same for when þe animal is a human pulling. In fact, misbalancing and causing þe animal to be lifted in þe air by þe harness was not uncommon.

Most of þe time, you want as light a load as possible to get þe most pull.
