Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

If true then the motherfucker gotta go. Same for ANY of these other stupid fucking clowns on ANY other side of the god damn isle.

Not the same subject but in the sane context, here's what it is.

Then he should be ousted if these allegations are true. Full stop. Flirtatious texts being A Bad Thing enough.

In addition:

Rumors about misbehavior by Swalwell have circulated on social media in recent weeks, broadcast by a group of progressive social media influencers. Most of the women who spoke to CNN initially reached out to one of these influencers, and said that before the social media attention, they had assumed they were alone in their experiences with Swalwell.

Three key influencers told CNN that they were not being paid by other campaigns and had not coordinated directly with them in publicizing claims about Swalwell.

Having “influencers” break this is kinda weird. Anyone remember that woman who accused Biden of rape and then moved to russia? I feel like with a literal adjudicated rapist receiving full unwavering support from the entirety of one party, there can only be an electoral benefit in accusing the other one of sexual misconduct.

Timing sucks and is maybe a little sus, but if the GOP wanted to cook something up to do maximum damage it would've happened during or days before the primary started. If we're serious about creating a better world we need to stop rewarding rapists with power.

At least one of the accusers sent information to a San Francisco newspaper reporter in 2024. Seems like news media tried to cover it up until it became too big to ignore.

Much more likely a Dem cooking op, if it is one. Republicans massively benefit from more Dems on the field in this race.

Swalwell was favored from what I heard, so his supporters getting redistributed to other candidates or staying home altogether does benefit the GOP.

I feel like if this was just a GOP plot they would hold off until Swalwell won the primary and the Dems were stuck with him

I was going to suggest the campaign slogan, "Alls well with Swalwell", but that time has passed.

"Ah hell, it's Swalwell"

EXCLUSIVE: something several online commentators have been reporting for at least the last month or so.

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

CNN found corroboration for key elements of each of the women’s claims, including the former staffer who said she was sexually assaulted.

I think that part's the exclusive
