i learned a while ago that my grandfather was hunted and his first wife was killed by the cristeros because both of them sided against the church in the cristero rebellion phase of that revolution.
it's odd to think that such a small, meek, passive, humble man who told doddering, old-man style, long-winded stories once pissed off the catholic church so much that it created an army to try to assassinate him and it makes me wish that i was older so i could have heard and understood those stories.
sorry about your grandmother. it sounds like her stories will keep her spirit alive within you and a part of me envies you for having the chance to hear and understand them.

o7 take pride in your family history Comrade
support for revolutionary granmas, of course
RIP to a real one.
Tap for spoiler
I also have some family history of revolutionaries. My great grandfather once marched with gandhi and fought with the independence movement.
I almost said that my grandfather did, but then I realised that it's been a long time. WW2 is 3 generations past. Crazy.

Keep telling his stories
