I think the US is going to be more insulated than a lot of other places. China as well. The Chinese can still purchase oil directly from Russia and the more Ukrainians fuck up the ability for Russian oil and energy to make it to Europe the cheaper and better the deal is for China. Meanwhile, the USA produces more oil than it requires, even if we don't refine enough of it ourselves. This is a big insulating factor for us. A lot of the developing world/Global South are going to be fucked. As usual. Which is not to say the USA and China won't suffer, too.
There is also the fertilizer issue and nobody can escape that. Especially not America. We are fucked there. Food is going to start getting expensive in a country where millions already go hungry.

The DPRS Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport offers you a friendly mandatory notice that it's a good time to buy an ebike. Having the ability to travel 80km~ on your own schedule for practically no cost is hedging against cars becoming impractical and public transit being impacted by the same fuel/lubricant shortages. With a cargo ebike you can meet almost all of your urban travel needs and get to a neighbouring city in case your local economy does worse than theirs. It's better collapse insurance than guns and beans.
