It shouldn't be a surprise. This is exactly what happened last time he was president. Trump was going through people so fast that many roles sat vacant.

This is coming as it is becoming less and less possible to suppress a major Epstein revelation that has been trying to come out, starting just before the first bombs started flying.
There is an Epstein witness who claimed that when she was 13 years old, she was given to Trump, and when he forced her to perform oral sex, she bit his little wiener, which he responded to by punching her in the face. In 2019, during the first Trump administration, she was interviewed by the FBI 4 times, indicating that they found her very credible. They have also talked to other witnesses who can corroborate parts of her story, which is why they kept coming back for clarification. Reportedly, they have found her totally credible.
As if that's not bad enough, there are reportedly 10 photos that accompany her story, which can't be released because they are CSA images. I read a description of one, and it was horrific, including multiple men, blood, and the girl looking like she was semi-conscious. She reported that she felt like she was going to die that night.
This story has been coming closer and closer to the surface, and it may be that Bondi is finding it difficult to keep it under wraps. Perhaps she's told Trump she's going to have to release this report, and this talk is him tightening the leash. If she gets fired, you can trust that the new guy won't. That's another count of Obstruction of Justice.

It's been popping up here and there, but most people haven't heard it. It certainly hasn't made it to the mainstream media, but it seems like they are trying hard to keep it suppressed.
Who cares what happened to that little girl, have you seen how much does gas cost?
No one gives a shit who the Trump Administration chooses as a scapegoat; we're all interested in just two things:
- A full release of all the files as commanded by Congress.
- When the prosecutions of Epstein's clients will start.
That's it and that's all. The rest of this is just noise intended to keep people distracted.

I've not been paying close attention. Does this have something to do with the Supreme Court hullabaloo yesterday?
No. It's because of the Epstein files.
Did she actually do the bare minimum of what she was legally required to do? No. Those lawsuits are pending because it's so fucking obvious she didn't release stuff (Congresscritters who had access to much of it came out and said so).
Did she intentionally try to hide Trump and his cronies presence in the Epstein files? Yes.
If she took all these steps, and put herself in legal jeopardy, just to protect Trump and his cronies, why is he still mad at her?
It's because she released them at all. I'm sure he was expecting her to delay the release forever. Or at least until all the lawsuits played out (which could complete after his term).
The underlying truth here is actually just the usual Trump stuff: He doesn't surround himself with competent people. He only chooses people based on perceived loyalty and whims.
She hasn’t been able to prosecute Trumps enemies successfully and has been unable to make the Epstein cover up not look like a cover up.

It took a literal Act of Congress to get maybe half the files and they were so heavily redacted as to be near useless.
In my opinion she's either been ordered not to release them or she herself is in them; there's no other explanations for ignoring the massive amount of pressure she's been under.
Trump isn't going to support that when he finds out they wrote a song about immigrants.
