The dude getting down voted for stating facts, the snarky comments that are insulting his intelligence while being posted by obvious brainwashed fools. The cherry on the top is the user that pointed out most old people who existed under communism support it, some loser replies "reddit moment" as if that's some reddit illusion. Meanwhile his entire worldview is a illusion built by pedophiles to keep him in line

Thing is it's not just conspiracy theorists. Like, I like thought slime when they stay away from geopolitics, but she talks endlessly about how bad the US government is and how you can't trust them and then follows up with "but china is doing genocide to the Uyghurs:( :( :(", like... What source did you get that from, Mildred? The fucking us state department, who YOU ACKNOWLEDGE are not trustworthy and who regard china as public enemy #1!

But look how ripped we've gotten!

Beautifully said, great article. But then come the comments, topmost being (cw for ableism):

The older I get (85 in a month), the more I think Marx was right. And that means the Communists in China and Russia were wrong. I will stick with Orwell, whose critique of totalitarianism (1984/Animal Farm) exposes the lies of the monster (as Khruschev called Stalin) who ruled the Soviet Union for decades in total defiance of Marx. And as for Mao, he was a another psychopath

Lmao there's always one trying to corral everyone back into the compatible left

[–] MarxMadness@hexbear.net 15 points 1 day ago

"They support every revolution but the ones that succeed" is such a great line

the compatible left

Great term, gonna be stealing this :3

Yeah, the older I get, the more I realize that Marx was right, and the more I realize that there are a lot of motherfuckers out there who don't actually read Marx, but just vibe Marx, as both Stalin and Mao were much better read on Marxist theory and reading than whatever this guy is talking about.

Fucking monday morning quarterback over here with no actual skin in the game.

At some point in comments that freak literally says revolution was step back from the Century of humiliation.

Classic orthodox Marxist, Orwell?

[–] miz@hexbear.net 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I will stick with Orwell

translation: I will cling to western chauvinism

This article is so fucking funny. There's so many things in it that made me laugh.

Political maturity is finally admitting to yourself that the angriest, most disconcerting communist you’ve ever met was pretty much right about everything.

Yessss glaze us moreeee

cognitive dissonance, which is what being wrong feels like.

Howling at that last line lmao

Needed the ego stroke today tbh, ty LMAO

Just mention the Soviet Referendum and you'll get crickets. Illiterate brainwashed libs are fun to dunk on.

the older generation that lived under really fucking hate communist.

I worked with an older man who lived in the USSR and he had nothing but good things to say about it. In fact, he used to get very angry whenever someone would say that it was a bad place to live, and he would start listing off all the ways it was better than where we live, and dress them down for being ignorant.

[–] spacecadet@hexbear.net 4 points 1 day ago

The real conspiracy is how these dumbfucks are in a conspiracy subreddit and still default to the most CIA approved propoganda bs, geez it's embarrassing

I am pretty sure that similar situation exists in some Lemmy.ml communities as well.

[–] Dirt_Possum@hexbear.net 11 points 1 day ago

Definitely. It exists in nearly any western online space to some degree because nearly every western online space is infested with liberals and their belief that they're being brave and righteous for vehemently reinforcing the lies of the fascist predominant narrative. They get all the benefits of being part of the clapping seal brigade while also getting to feel smug that they are smarter for understanding "both sides" horseshoe Orwell holodomor gorillion animal farm. It is so tiring, so cliched, so pathetic.

And in places like reddit, if there's ever the slightest push in a leftwards direction (like say if that one user hadn't gotten hundreds of downvotes but maybe a couple upvotes and only 10 or 15 down, or worse, if a person or two chimed in agreeing with them) then it gets squelched by the bots, and in major subs actual feds, with the evil authoritarian commies getting IP banned. That's a lot harder to do on Lemmy, so they created piefed.

Lemmy.ml is one big reddit moment
