I upgraded to v8.1.3 this morning which fixed several bugs, and in the process I also enabled live streaming.
As part of the version upgrade, channels can also now have more than one owner/collaborator.

I've been leaching from my middle class parents. It's been about $500 a month lately. 🥹 I'm a student right now and my mom has been generous but my dad would flip if he saw the bills. I need to do a fundraising drive but I've been procrastinating it. I could do some things to reduce the expenses if it becomes unsustainable.
Do the fundraising drive! I bent the mods would even sticky it.

is there a way to use the live streaming feature to stream videos hosted on tankie tube itself, like what cytube does?
btw i appreciate what you've made 🫡 will be pitching in a few bucks per month on the liberapay for tankie tube even if there's no way to do what i'm asking
I think that depends on the broadcast software. Although a clunky solution, it looks like you can do that with OBS Studio by sharing your browser screen. I have the livechat plugin for TankieTube installed.

Also @CARCOSA@hexbear.net would it be possible to get a Tankietube community? Maybe even a Hextube one? This is something I'd like to try in the future when I have more time.
