The account is an example of how artificial intelligence is being used to push political agendas in wartime

MAGA has been swooning over photos of a blonde U.S. Army soldier, walking defiantly alongside President Donald Trump to carry out the America First agenda. But there’s just one problem — she’s AI.

Images most likely generated by artificial intelligence depicted Jessica Foster wearing heels on a U.S. warship in the Strait of Hormuz, posing for selfies with Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and giving a speech at the president’s “Board of Peace” event earlier this year.

The account, which has since been taken down, gained more than one million followers since its mysterious creator started posting on it four months ago, The Washington Post reports.

One more example of just how fucking stupid the magaites are.

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 1 points 1 minute ago

Like honestly, stuff like this is beyond just regular stupid... This is brain damaged moron levels of stupid.

I honestly don't know how these people survive day to day being this gullible and this stupid.

[–] Sims@lemmy.ml 1 points 41 minutes ago

The previous Epstein administration did the same stuff without AI. I doubt the magaites are more stupid than those that think all this mask-off US madness started with Trump. Libs are being played as much as the Magaites..

[–] Sims@lemmy.ml 1 points 35 minutes ago

I saw a clip where a woman like her were standing on a ship in speed, and claimed she (a 'teacher') was ready to sacrifice her life for her country and her "People". Seems the 'People' were the US Epstein class, and that several clips of young beautiful woman have been produced in the same style. The Oligarch powers behind Trump, and his presidency apparently need a nationalistic US population now, so embrace for massive nationalist propaganda the next ~10-15 years..

These are the exact same people who cheer when Hegseth says that women shouldn't be in the military.

This is how they see women in uniform; as sex objects. As a fetish. Not as people who put a lot of hard work into doing a really hard job.

Americans will worship the ground a soldier works on, to a degree that absolutely sickens me (and I'm in a military family), but only as long as that soldier is male. The moment a woman picks up a rifle, she's a pin up, nothing more.

[–] fierysparrow89@lemmy.world 7 points 4 hours ago

It is quite obvious that it's AI

[–] IsoKiero@sopuli.xyz 16 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

So creating an onlyfans account using Grok is profitable?

[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

I think Onlyfans doesn’t allow AI generated fictional people. You need to ID yourself to OF anyway if you want to make money.

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 4 points 4 hours ago

Ok I'll just create an id with ai too

[–] Zron@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

What if I use AI to gender bend myself, and put a disclaimer in really tiny text somewhere?

[–] Trex202@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

She looks like Taylor Swift had a Marilargoo face lift

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

This might be the prompt

[–] sem@piefed.blahaj.zone 3 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

I thought that generative image AI wasn't able to generate the same person multiple times in different pictures and contexts. When did that change?

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 hours ago

At least two years ago. You can train a fine-tuning model on a single concept to get that kind of result. https://everlyheights.tv/stablediffusion/create-consistent-original-character-loras-in-stable-diffusion/

[–] Trex202@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

They probably established the character and use the character's name in the prompt

[–] SocialMediaRefugee@lemmy.world 31 points 11 hours ago (5 children)

I thought removing lead from gasoline was supposed to raise general intelligence levels?

[–] TimeSquirrel@kbin.melroy.org 9 points 7 hours ago

The people it affected are very much still alive and most of them will be for a long while longer. 30 years isn't THAT long ago.

[–] RedGreenBlue@lemmy.zip 19 points 11 hours ago

You have to also offer quality and freely available education to you populace.

[–] Mondez 4 points 8 hours ago

Sadly being smarter doesn't stop you being ignorant.

[–] Bustedknuckles@lemmy.world 9 points 10 hours ago

Banned in 1996 in USA. If you were born in 76 or earlier, you breathed a ton of it during brain development

[–] RobotToaster@mander.xyz 7 points 10 hours ago

we have microplastics instead now.

[–] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 56 points 13 hours ago (4 children)

What a dumpster fire of a website.

[–] DoucheBagMcSwag@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

That outfit is not proper army attire. (Tights, short skirt, stiletto heels) It's like the AI was trained on Catherine Bell from J.A.G and deduced to: "Yep. That's exactly how it works."

[–] Bakkoda@lemmy.world 0 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

The AI didn't think. The person making the prompt did.

Correct. I'll fix this.

[–] obinice@lemmy.world 10 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

What I hate most about the Independent these days is that they're a UK news agency for UK news reporting, but seem to want to heavily report on local USA news now.

Not just big international news worthy stuff, but lots of small local area USA news.

I'll see some headline that sounds serious, only to open it and find it's not referring to events in the UK at all, but in the USA, which is entirely irrelevant to me.

Not sure why they pivoted to being a US news company, but I'm sick of it, so they're on my blacklist now.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 2 hours ago

I get it, but much of our media has been captured by MAGA loyalists, and has become part of the Conservative Propaganda Network.

As an American, I appreciate the Independent's non-American perspective and coverage. Before long, we won't be able to get ANY unbiased news in America, and we'll have to count on foreign news coverage.

It's actually a great business opportunity for media like the Independent. They should develop an entire division just to cover American news from an independent perspective. American media is becoming increasingly suppressed.

[–] thenoirwolfess@fedinsfw.app 1 points 3 hours ago

My internet news peeve is seeing links to UK news hosted on MSN via something like msn.com/us/global/uk, and because I'm accessing from the UK, it sends me to the homepage.

[–] _druid@sh.itjust.works 19 points 11 hours ago (8 children)

Where she's standing does not exist on any warship. It's like she's just aft of midships, on the port side, on an Arleigh Burke class destroyer, but the bridge is facing the wrong way. The fact that military related entities looked at that and thought it was fine to publish is even more laughable.

[–] halcyoncmdr@piefed.social 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

That even ignores the even more egregious fact that she was supposedly Army. How many Army personnel are usually on Navy ships?

There are exceptions of course, and any number of possible explanations. But just that off the bat should make you pause for a second since it's weird.

[–] _druid@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 hour ago

On top of that, can you imagine wearing heels on a pitching deck?

[–] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 3 points 10 hours ago

Damn, I thought they started with a real photo and added her in.

AI is getting better all the time.

personally I block all autoplay even if muted

[–] the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world 32 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Well you do have to be extra special stupid to be maga so it makes sense.

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 5 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Me whenever I meet a red hat.

[–] kernelle@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 hours ago

It's definitely not stupidity, you don't have to be stupid to fall for propaganda. They just overwhelm you with information so it becomes impossible to filter out the truth, so people default to what they feel or instinctively grasp.

[–] Rika@crazypeople.online 16 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I guess the silver lining is that Maga can't procreate with a clanker...

...Yet. Please stop the depraved tech broligarchs before they find a way. Please.

[–] db2@lemmy.world 6 points 12 hours ago (3 children)

That explains that one episode of Rick and Morty tho

Their stupidity truly is boundless.

[–] RobotToaster@mander.xyz 5 points 10 hours ago

In the past the military would've had to pay an actress to pretend to be a bridge bunny.

[–] LostWanderer@fedia.io 12 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

LOL MAGA is such a fucking joke...

[–] HuudaHarkiten@piefed.social 3 points 7 hours ago

I just wished they would be smart enough to understand how stupid they are.
