The missile didn't just land there, Israel shot it at him. Stop using passive voice to describe Israeli war crimes.

I agree, this is not my title, but the title from BBC.

yeah they do this shit all the time and I am just so sick of it. sorry, i didn't mean to make that seem directed at you.

It's the BBC mouthpiece.

And risk upsetting Israel? That'll get you arrested on a good day, missiles shot at you on a bad one.

Over 6,000,000 Jews were placed into protective custody during world war 2.

That's an "interesting" way to frame the holocaust, I guess, but I'm struggling to understand the relevancy?

I think, and praying I'm correct, that they are showing how passive language can be used to excuse the worst behaviors of humanity.

Yeah, now that I've thought about it, you're probably right. I guess my hackles just get raised when people start talking about "jews" when you criticize Israel.

Israel tried to kill a journalist. Say it how it is bbc.

Amazing. There's a single frame in which you can actually see the missile just above the road. He was incredibly lucky.

[–] bampop@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Looks like it went into the pre-existing hole. Incredibly lucky indeed

[–] sanguinepar@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Wow, I think you're right, I hadn't even thought of that. Probably saved his life. Blimey.

Next frame... multiple missiles, the closest goes in the hole and hits the near side, so all the blast is deflected up and away. These guys should buy themselves a lottery ticket

[–] brownsugga@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

Fuckin hell- he just made it, what luck- he cashed in 8 of his 9 lives there

I'm sure the missile landed gracefully, BBC...

But watch this 30-second Zootopia 2 ad first because ooh shiny!

Putting a capitalistic ad in front of a humanitarian/civil rights video should be a felony.
