Uhhhhh…
I’m a little lost on this story.
A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.
Uhhhhh…
I’m a little lost on this story.
They removed an element of the game that was slowing the players down but 2 months later the players demanded it'd be added back, which slowed the game down again.
The players demanded that element back because they forgot how much it ruined their game so quickly.
They're saying that people who forget how bad it was to have Trump well somehow get him back into office.
It isn't a super direct analogy.
This sounds about right, but OP could really have done with double checking their post before submitting.
Reads like a drunk text.
Would have helped
I write these sometimes. I guess one of these:
very tired
lil drunk
3)non-native speaker
I'm going to go with all three: sleepy sloshed Spaniard
Not too far, Portuguese
Yea, that's a good assessment also.
Definitely has a I'm 14 and this is deep vibe.
I've done that a few times where I'm completely baffled at the thought process behind someone's post. Then I remember I might just be talking to a 14 year old, and suddenly it all makes sense.
?
I think what they're saying is that Americans don't pay attention and forgot how terrible the Trump presidency was because it's been a few years. Most people think that "we're better now" and any major issues have abated without understanding that nothing has fundamentally changed. Because of all that, Trump will win the election. The DnD portion of the post is just what got OP to think about this.
Sad thing is that there's merit to the argument. It's the old trope of "Americans have short memories."
I think Trump will win the election because of manipulation through targeted social media activities, if not direct manipulation of the results, but that's just me.
I see…
Yeah, us Americans are a pretty retarded bunch.
There are so many things these days which co-opt and diminish our ability to pay attention and focus, it wouldn't be all that surprising if it's also affecting memory.
The book Stolen Focus goes into these issues, but diet, air pollution, smart phones, social media, and instant gratification tired to consumerism all diminish our ability to focus.
Off topic but DND kind of sucks as a rule system, and you should probably look for something that's a good fit for your group out of the box.
Fate is very fast and pretty free form. Also free.
Don’t forget, the GOP will be winning control of the Senate pretty soon, too.
Public Education has failed us. Either that or autocorrect.
Jesus fucking Christ I'm Portuguese go fuck yourselves whenever you learn another language.
Dumbasses can't talk more then one language and still bash. Go fucking home
In fairness, I assumed you were American too, because you said "we end up with this guy as president".
Well i don't really appreciate the geopolitical control the US has over the world. But for better or worse Europe and The US are in a "ride or die" type of situation
I think that ironically plays into their point, because they didn't even pay attention when making this post about people not paying attention
I just want to point out that in Pathfinder there is a good mechanic for selecting presidents.
???
I feel like this post is going to get some people very wound up. Therefore, I'll just say this. Trump isn't unique and the attitude many see in him isn't tied to a political party.
DND players wanted to try to play.by the full rules again and learned that it wasn't working out despite the reasons they thought it might != People re-electing a criminal into office
I gotta say I love the controversy this post got
