badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

This is literally what most Americans believe.

This is the inverse of Deep State conspiratorial thinking. Instead of the power being held by the high level but not publicly visible members of the state, it’s the low level, high public visibility members. The real elites running this country are the clerks at the DMV.

Top ten most oppressive group in society:

  1. Mom taking away my xbox
  2. Female teachers
  3. Delivery drivers

If they weren't in complete control, why were they able to call security on me after I screamed at them?

I've heard of this thonk

They meet at some dive bar on the outskirts of town and have unsanctioned bare knuckle fights in the basement.

This reminds me of a very embarrassing mishap that I had at what turned out to be a local aviation enthusiast's group

It is always so disappointing when they just reinvent neoliberalism

The most powerful class of all. Kindergarden teachers

[–] Ildsaye@hexbear.net 4 points 2 days ago

The total defeat of the working class looks like kindergarten teachers following everyone home and imposing bedtime

I mean, rich vs poor is a less accurate framing of class conflict. There are, like, doctors who do work and in fact do very necessary work and get relatively high pay. But the actual ruling class definitely does include Elon who owns things for a living, and definitely does not include the school board. I mean, there may be bourgeoisie on the school board, but not necessarily.

I mean, as long as they're pointing in the right direction I suppose

[–] JustSo@hexbear.net 16 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I'm not really sure the PTA meeting is the right direction tho

[–] fossilesque@mander.xyz 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Really depends on what part of the States one is in. Where I live the MAGAs have figured out that local elections have low turnout out and the positions have considerable power. Those too extreme to make it in state level politics have been winning these offices and wreaking havoc with anti-woke policies.

[–] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah those latter types are advancing genocidal policies against Trans people.

Agreed, OOP is obviously totally out of touch with reality, but my schoolboard is like 3 legacy centrists who are mostly concerned with whether or not the middle schools can have pools or is that too expensive, 3 moms for liberty demons who want to inspect the new math textbooks for hidden CRT agendas and a tiebreaker seventh member, the legacy Republican member who looks like the centrists but never opposed anything the MFL Demons suggest.

It's a truly evil entity.

Possibly the most appropriate use of this emoji of all times: kind-vladimir-ilyich
