I’m not a dev and use HTTPie for calls I need adjust or run frequently. How the heck do you do that efficiently in a CLI?
Save it in a file. It's just text. You can even use a GUI text editor!

I don't know who this man is, I used to know, but I don't care anyway. If he's such a bigot, it seems fine that his legacy is reduced to a meme, doesn't it?
Why grant him a legacy at all? Especially since the original of that meme is a tool of his bigotry.

I don't understand your logic there. Being the "'change my mind' meme guy" is a legacy. Using the meme template is keeping the legacy alive. Even if it was just the response to the meme keeping his legacy alive, then surely you wouldn't use the meme template anyway, so they have nothing to respond to?
This is assuming you DON'T want him to be easily searched by people wanting to know more about the meme, thus exposing them to his hateful rhetoric, of which the original meme is a blatant example.
His legacy should be reduced to dust.

I'll assume you don't know cause it's a common format and was very popular for years, but it depicts a guy who made a fortune going to college campuses to demand people change his mind on topics in bad faith so he could berate and harass college students as an allegedly intellectual adult man. He also was abusive toward his pregnant wife and is a nepo baby who flaunts his privilege explicitly to troll. If this is someone you knowingly want to bring attention to I advise you reflect on your own beliefs and understanding if what society is because he's wrong and an asshole.
That guy gains nothing by people using the meme template. Most memers don’t even know about the controversy. So why is it bad to use the template when it’s so detached from the original dude?
Because some of the audience hates looking at pieces of shit every day.

Why it is bad is that you are giving him attention through its use when there's literally millions of other memes that would actually make you point better, free from the context associated with that guy, why are you defending it so hard? It's considered Problematic because of the person involved I think. There are a few alternatives such as the Bluey one and the Calvin one, but they are fairly well hidden in eg.: memegenerator.

I occasionally use curl, and it’s annoying when you have secrets that need to rotate regularly or you need to change the middle of a URL. Also: Fuck quoting in the shell.
I put the secrets in environment variables, I don't what them to show up in the shell history anyway. Quoting can be a bit anything if you need nested quotes, but I hardly ever need that with curl.
Well having decent documentation is kind of rare.
But is providing a special client for your api really less work than fixing your documentation?
