That guy gains nothing by people using the meme template. Most memers don’t even know about the controversy. So why is it bad to use the template when it’s so detached from the original dude?

How tf is it detached when it's showing his smug face? Why it is bad is that you are giving him attention through its use when there's literally millions of other memes that would actually make you point better, free from the context associated with that guy, why are you defending it so hard?
