The full tweet referenced by the article:

If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far. Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again — Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them — But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen! This is a gift from the United States of America to China, and all of those Nations that heavily use the Hormuz Strait. Hopefully, it is a gesture that will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Sounds like a rapist.

Are they going to kill 2000 kids now?

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 12 points 4 days ago (2 children)

We have nukes. Trump is desperate for ANYTHING to make his mark. Being the first president since Truman to deploy one would be something I could see him doing.

[–] I_Jedi@lemmy.today 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He's definitely the sort of guy who would nuke the world just to stay out of prison.

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He is the antichrist. He would turn the world to glass just so nothing could ever enjoy anything ever again.

But somehow, a large bloc of voters thought a woman of color in a powerauit with a funny laugh was worse, and they decided to sit out 2024. Good job guys! You saved gaza! Gonna save iran and cuba next, right after the primaries and midterms.

So is the military going to refuse "illegal orders" when he orders them to fire nukes?

Also if he does use nukes against Iran then Russia would definitely start using them against Ukraine. It will become a free for all.

Yo! It is the peace president again

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 13 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He should probably order up 20 more Nobel Peace Prizes for himself.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Nobel? Pffffftttttt!!!! FIFA. The FIFA Peace Prize is where it’s at!

[–] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 8 points 4 days ago

I'm starting to think the FIFA peace prize isn't the honourable institution it's been marketed as ..

Today, I am gay. Today, I am a migrant worker. Today, I am Nobel.

“If you do this then we will keep doing exactly what we are currently doing, but if you stop and work with us on this then we promise to keep doing what we are currently doing.”

A masterclass in negotiating and de-escalating. We’re not living in a farce.

Why not 20 billion times harder?

I am not used to Trump using small numbers

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

One million billion times! So much harder than any other response in the history of responses! No one responds as hard as Trump!

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 4 points 4 days ago

He's not hard. The girl bit the shirt out of his little Johnny, remember?

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 18 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I heard they are letting China and Japan through.

It's almost like if you make deals and then honor those agreements, that people stay amicable.

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago

Iran said they would allow ships from any country that expels US and Israel diplomats to go through.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 days ago

20 times harder

What are you? 5?

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Iran hit just a few tankers and the insurers and underwriters immediately cut off coverage for the ships. The ships aren't sailing cause no one will sail without insurance.

[–] ironhydroxide@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 days ago

Some may want to sail, but many ports will not let a ship dock that doesn't have insurance.

What a surprise. The rapist pedophile only understands force and what he wants...

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

If Iran can provoke Trump to put boots on the ground, Iran has practically won.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

If blocked? The Hormuz strait is blocked. So, how about actions followng your words?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

The thing about going all in from the start every time is that you have no means to escalate. All threats become obvious bluffs

Th pentagon pizza meter is spiking

[–] MrVilliam@sh.itjust.works 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It kinda makes you wonder why the fuck they don't just put a big freezer of quick stuff in their cafeteria and just call in kitchen people when this sort of thing happens. They can just restock after the fact instead of risking an obvious indicator of upcoming insanity. Does OMB and DoD not know about the pizza index?

[–] I_Jedi@lemmy.today 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

500% spike at Papa Johns holy.

[–] I_Jedi@lemmy.today 4 points 4 days ago

We all know that Trump loves knee jerk reactions with horrible consequences...

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You're gonna be fucked 20x harder in The Hage

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

At this point Netanyahu and Trump should both be wanted criminals around the world, along with their military leaders for crimes against humanity.

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

One of them already is

[–] GameOverFlow@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 days ago

It IS blocked. Trump?

[–] tartarin@reddthat.com 4 points 4 days ago

Everyone knows Trump and mathematics are not mixing well. So, it doesn't mean shit coming from Trump's mouth.
