Can’t believe people defend this shit at all. They turned a place people lived in, into something that resembles a nuclear explosion.
And they still call this war and claim civilians are not targeted on purpose. This is genocide and ethnic cleansing.
The scale of destruction in Gaza is incomprehensible to me. Like, I see the picture, I know it's awful, I feel for those affected, but there's some kind of disconnect.
It's the same feeling when I look at images of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Just all emotion is preempted by a numbness, an inability to process. It's difficult for me to explain, actually. It's a picture of gray rubble that used to be people and their homes and workplaces and gathering places, but the picture is totally depersonalized. Actually, maybe that's the point.
It's because empaths have a fundamental weakness in being able to understand the lack of empathy needed to be so cruel. Like it's incomprehensible to be so detached from a moral center.
I think that numbness is likely one of two things. Your psyche subconsciously protecting you from overwhelming emotion. Or your psyche is searching for similar data to decide how you should feel, and literally the answer is null; no similar data available. It's unprecedented in your subconscious. You may as well have been told 5 billion dwikars exploded.

I think it may be part of the reason for Trump, but Iran's oil reserves and military control over the straight of Hormuz is probably an even bigger reason. US clearly wants to control as much of oil supply as it can to keep the dominance it has over the rest of the world.

Literally anything is better than coal, oil and gas. Renewables are the cheap option to produce energy when possible, and nuclear is insurance for base load in case we never quite figure out grid storage at scale.
