I'd just like to point out that they used the correct term "rape" here. All to often news outlets will say something like "sex" or "affair" or some how blame the victim.
Kudos for calling a spade a spade.
Some of the coverage here in the states referred to her as "glamorous," and she was facing "allegations of indecency," so they're definitely some apologia going on.
I wouldn't doubt it, but this particular publication didn't do that which is why I gave them the slightest amount of praise

I don't know that being the first of a minority group elected in a town of <10k people is really "making history". It's good news, certainly.
