That would explain the urgency in anthropic needing to sign the AI contract by 5pm Friday. They had no war strategy otherwise
I doubt they've been doing explicitly that (even worse -- it's Trump making the final calls!), but I would bet anything on AI slop being folded into a bunch of smaller decisions/analyses that inform the larger ones.
Fuck me, this is the explanation for the last few months of US foreign policy that makes the most sense.
One of the first bombing targets in Tehran was a gathering of all the top Iranian diplomats and negotiators who thought they were working with the US in good faith. So yeah, that will limit your options when you slaughter those same people. Fucking twats.

Either there's a plan to simply destabilize Iran to the point of never ending in-fighting that potentially leads to balkanization (with a chunk of Iranian Somaliland), or plain simply there's no plan to help anyone and the goal is to just murder lots of people until Iran just offers an unconditional surrender. The former is usually the plan, but Trump likes to think of himself as a strong leader who can force others to give him what he wants; Hegseth is like a manifestation of that aspect of his personality, and bearing the same trademark incompetence.
I want someone to say it so badly. As someone with South American family who just had to go through this shit with them cheering on the Maduro kidnapping, it's soooooo annoying seeing Iranian friends make the same mistakes. It makes me even more mad than seeing the whitest of chuds celebrate the same thing.
The global south and EMPOC needs solidarity, division is how the empires have gotten away with it all this time. You can decide your leaders after you have sovereignty, without that, you have no chance of getting anything else. Pay attention, read history, please be smart about this.
"we killed most of the guys we had in mind" why even try to act like you had them in mind then? the amerikkkan media is not exactly reporting accurately and consistently about how the u.s. precision strikes have targeted both administration officials as well as opposition figures, one of whom was on house arrest. i guess the point is that the distraction leads people to think that this wasn't the plan all along, but this was clearly the plan all along. but this is a guy that doesn't play into his own incompetence like that regularly, so it just comes across as brandonization (if it isn't genuinely just brandonization, which it could well be)
Or Israel is killing their preferred puppet successors so Trump is more likely to support full scale occupation and destroying Iran as a relevant actor completely just a possibility.

I think the real reveal here is that the worst scenario they can imagine isn't that bad for the empire. It's inconceivable to them that a carrier goes down and the bubble of U.S. invulnerability pops. It's inconceivable to them that Iran fights off the U.S. and decides it's time to build nukes. It's inconceivable to them that there's some real paradigm shift with Israel, Saudi Arabia, or Europe. It's inconceivable that Iran gets a couple of guys with ARs in front of the right substations and takes down a chunk of the U.S. electrical grid.
It's gonna be this guy or good ol' Juan Guaido.
