And on today's episode of Drunk or Stroke? we have:

“And what he has shown is an ability to do that other presidents can't quite seem to have the aperture to do. Well, I mean, Joe Biden didn't even know what he was doing is to look for opportunities and off ramps and escalations for the United States that creates new opportunities to execute what we need on our own timeline.”

What the actual fuck? It's fine if you skim it, but if you are actually reading the words for comprehension god help you:

“And what he has shown is an ability to do that [word choice?] other presidents can't quite seem to have the aperture to do. Well, I mean, Joe Biden didn't even know what he was doing [note the sudden jump in space and time from Biden's past to his own indefinite future] is to look for opportunities and off ramps and escalations [conflicting goals] for the United States that creates new opportunities to execute what we need on our own timeline.”

It makes no sense as written, but so many opportunities! And execute is such a great verb, like you're actually doing something decisive and leaderly and not just scrolling your phone for porn under the conference table.

I didn't even go into the grammar problems, this is just comprehension.

Opportunities, off ramps, escalations, apertures, and time jumps. I'm gonna go with drunk on this one.

We're going to execute at his command the objectives we've set out to achieve

And what are those?

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 25 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Distract from the Trump-Epstein files

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 6 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

Not everything has to do with Epstein. War hawks have been drooling over this war for decades.

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 14 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

The best distraction is something people already wanted

[–] partofthevoice@lemmy.zip 2 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Hence why Trump tried bringing up legalized weed, too. Not that there was much meat on that bone, but the avenue was at minimum explored.

Lol did that go anywhere? I completely forgot about it.

[–] Nastybutler@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Not that I've heard since the original announcement

[–] pathwonder@kopitalk.net 5 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

When the President is implicated in the largest honeypot and blackmail operation known as the Epstein files, mentioned and commented among the most out of everyone else, everything involves the Epstein files.

Trump could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and rape a child, and he wouldn't lose any voters.

[–] Ioughttamow@fedia.io 12 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Kill a looooot of brown people

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 8 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

String it out until the midterms, then cancel them.

[–] essell@lemmy.world 9 points 16 hours ago

Maybe Trump is thinking "if Ukraine can avoid an election by starting a war, maybe I can too" 🙄

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 2 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

was that the "gotcha" question?

[–] Atomic@sh.itjust.works 1 points 6 hours ago

Apparently asking about Trump's press conference where he said the operation might take 4 weeks, but they will continue as long as they have to.

As opposed to the initial statement that their operation would take 2 weeks.

Bad move from the reporter. They should know this "minister" doesn't have the slightest clue about what's going on.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 14 hours ago

Any question not accompanied by a hand job (at least).

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 13 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

This drunk dumbass has no business doing that job.

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 1 points 5 minutes ago

Imagine being a career military officer and suddenly this tool is your boss...

[–] Insekticus@aussie.zone 10 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Can't wait to watch his public hanging!

We'll kick a keg out from under him instead of a chair!

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 26 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Would’ve been nice to actually have the question in the video or in the article without it being filtered through this no talent ass clown as a talking point. Ffs.

[–] noxypaws@pawb.social 2 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Michael Bolton had a hand in this??

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 1 points 7 hours ago

He played background saxophone in the vid. ;)

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 7 points 18 hours ago
