Both mergers should be prohibited. Fuck James Cameron's false dichotomy.

This plot must've been written by Kathleen Kennedy because I can't tell who the bad guy is in all this anymore, assume all of them?

Ruffalo should be in favour of actors and movie staff not getting shafted, so he could be considered as a relatively good guy.

My assumption is that in a perfect world, he is against the netflix merger as well. Unfortunately, everyone knows that if it falls through, the paramount one will absolutely happen. One option is bad, but the other one is a nightmare (common theme in this country).

Netflix is kamala harris while paramount is trump.

Wouldn't we have to be able to see into the future to know which one to side with? That is, since they're both VERY similar outcomes.

On the other hand, look at which one Trump advocates for (IIRC: he tried to hand it off to his friends at paramount), and you will know that to be the worst outcome.

Until he answers the question, I'd say take assumptions with a grain of salt.

But the "pro-theater" mindset is, by definition, anti-consumer. Christopher Nolan says similar things, but he gets less shit for it because he's not remaking Pocahontas for the third time or whatever James Cameron's done since he's last made a good movie. Which is still more movies than I've made, but still, saying we need to step in mostly-dried Coca-Cola with popcorn stuck in it to sit in uncomfortable seats with people talking and doom scrolling all around us to watch a movie on a big screen after being blasted with half an hour of ads to enjoy their movies... Fuck them and their dystopia.

Site won't load coz of adblocking. LEL I guess I will move on.....

Firefox with uBlock Origin (on a Mac). No issues here.

That said, downvote any submission where the article is paywalled (unless a gift article or archive link is given as an alternative) or if it tells you to reduce your computer's security settings (e.g. disable adblocker) to continue. Sites like those exploit web surfers and should not be shared, especially if cleaner sources exist (and they likely do).

When I'm King there'll be a rule that the moment your market cap hits $10,000,000,000 you have to split up into smaller companies.
