If the whole system is in the Epstein files then it deserves to collapse.

The only people worried are the wealthy because the only people served by the system for the past few decades have been the wealthy.
"The system will collapse!!" Oh the system that only offers welfare to its wealthiest members? The system that refuses to adopt wildly popular policy? The system that's failed to guarantee livable wages? The system that won't adopt universal healthcare? The system that won't enshrine equal rights for anyone other than white men? The system currently threatening life on earth with it's reckless commitment to fossil fuels? The system that's allowed it's infrastructure to crumble?
Wealthy people built a system that benefits no one and act surprised when no one cares about its potential collapse.
And then they point to all the scientific and technological advances of the last several hundred years and lay claim to them because the economic system existed at the same time as the advances.
Feudalism (or whatever economic system can be argued to be existent at the time) didn't make the telescope, Galileo did with technology.
I'd anything the lack of cooperation inherent in capitalism hinders science and technology, not encourages it

So? This argument infuriates me because it’s similar to the “too big to fail” argument. It’s basically saying “yes this crime is legal because the alternative is worse”. Who is she to decide that these pedophiles are allowed to get away with it?
Also any person who gags on capitalist dick who defends business welfare is fucking idiot. They’ll tell you about how if we don’t make an exception and give all our taxes(I’m Canadian but it’s the same vibe) to these companies then we’re hurting ourselves for nothing but if you tell them that public services and consumer/renter/environmental/etc. protections will save tax money and inject much needed spending into the wider economy they tell you that you can’t say anything because you own an iPhone. I've said this before, the current US admin fits what you get when you literally drain a swamp. Everything's kinda disgusting and mucky, you have a faint smell of sulphur and decay and you have a good chance do trip over a half-mummified corpse or five.

This quote is bothering me. I've been seeing it all over for the past few days, even before Bondi's hearing, and I literally can't find a single government official that said it. Let alone Pam Bondi.
I know it's not the first time it's happened but it's kind of wild that someone can just make something up and so many people just latch onto it and run with it without it even being a thing. There were so many other hilariously dumbass quotes from Bondi's hearing to take but people choose a made up one instead.
