Its the IOC... they are massive dickheads. Dont support the olympics.
Support the athletes, not the IOC and the institution.
I can do that at other events.
Fair, though this might just be a bit of a lib position of mine but if it weren't for how awful the IOC is the Olympics are actually a pretty good thing for keeping international community imo
I agree 100%. We should start a new event or maybe expand existing ones slowly to capture more of the world. Maybe the EU could host a non-profit Europe games which can invite more countries over time, turning it into an international event. I don't know, it'd be a big undertaking and I'm not sure how you would stop the EU politics invading. The Commonwealth Games could maybe expand more, but it's already had controversy in the past and I could see it becoming another IOC situation.
But anyway. the olympics are getting exactly 0 of my time.
The IOC said it's too "political".
So are national anthems and country flags. Maybe they should ban those first, rather than symbols of grief.

Ah yes, but they allow the Russian athletes to participate. Yeah, I get they are under the non-affiliated neutral team but they are still Russian...
