I must have horse-blindness, since I can't actually see the horse photobombing in any of the other photos.

[–] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net 5 points 2 days ago

You're lucky, that's a way less serious condition than bird blindness

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 87 points 3 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (4 children)

There. I uncensored it.

Edit: I am disappointed that Track_Shovel found an original uncensored version instead of using the masterpiece I created. Did anyone even notice the horse's cock?

Thank you, this post is almost pointless without these.

Omg room temp iq lemmy users falling for rage bait in this thread left and right. Some of you must live the most boring unfunny lives in existence. How much do things need to be dumbed down for you.

There are multiple jokes here. On one hand, there is a horse in front of the camera, on the other hand, the phone case is obviously beyond useless anyways because it has a horse glued to it.

On one hand the word fuck is censored several times, on the other hand, the word f*ck is also not censored in the first sentence.

It's a joke and meme meant to get people to engage. Censoring the words is part of the engagement bait, because y'all fall for it every single time... What has happened to this generation.

MAYbE wE ShOUlD stOP sPreAdIng cEnSorEd MEmEs anD NoRMALIZiNg tHEm.

Maybe you should stop being such easy prey for master memetologists. F_cking God Da*m, it's embarrassing being a Lemmy user sometimes.

-In before y'all are actually baiting me by pretending to be offended by censored swear words. You got me.

[–] parson0@startrek.website 6 points 2 days ago

Your tone seems very pointed right now

[–] tyler@programming.dev 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Engaging does nothing on lemmy. If this was tiktik or fb sure. But here engagement bait is pointless. So complaining about it is just as normal as commenting in the greentext community.

[–] Zamboni_Driver@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Complaining about it is engaging...

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 3 points 2 days ago

Yeah, but so what. Upvotes don't matter on here so who cares?

[–] Whats_your_reasoning@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Sure, but complaining about others complaining is engaging, too.

[–] Zamboni_Driver@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago

I don't mind engaging. I'm explaining to people triggered by swear words being censored that it's not some wild plot to erase swearing for the internet. The reason why they are filtered is to make them comment.

[–] Donkter@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yes, but unlike on Instagram or Facebook, engagement doesn't translate into a boosted account and cannot translate into money. So comments about the engagement bait aren't playing into their hand since there's nothing for the poster to benefit from.

[–] Zamboni_Driver@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 days ago

I don't think engagement is a bad thing. I'm just explaining that the swear words being filtered has nothing to do with them being bad words. It's a joke to fu_k with people.

[–] T156@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

the phone case is obviously beyond useless anyways because it has a horse glued to it.

It actually might not be.

Sure, you can't fold the horse flat without some applied origami, but the spacing of the legs isn't an unreasonable place to put your fingers through to hold the phone without gripping it.

[–] Zamboni_Driver@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago

Sorry, you would do what to the horse?

[–] BremboTheFourth@piefed.ca 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

In before y'all are actually baiting me by pretending to be offended by censored swear words. You got me.

No, it's not just you. I've never seen so many posts get completely wooshed as I have since I started browsing here. I think my most common "type it out then delete it" comment is typing out an explanation of the joke before remembering that whoever misunderstood it in the first place is not likely to react positively to having it explained.

Also yeah it's wild how every single post with a censored word just gets flooded with self important "you can swear on the Internet" comments. Like... ok. Downvote then fuck off if you're not actually going to engage with the post.

Honestly I wonder every single day what proportion of posts on this platform are fully automated.

[–] Track_Shovel@slrpnk.net 5 points 2 days ago

Thank you. I did look for one but couldn't find it

[–] starik@lemmy.zip 6 points 3 days ago

I see no potential solutions to this problem

[–] Gust@piefed.social 3 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Do yall honestly believe minor visual obscurations that leave the obscured word clearly legible and the message unchanged are censorship? The blur circumvents lazy automated corporate censorship. It does not prevent dissemination of the message or alter the message in any way, unless you take the position that finding the missing letter in "f_cking" is too confusing a puzzle for you to solve

[–] mech@feddit.org 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Lemmy is the place people fled to, away from corporate censorship.
It's understandable that people here will react negatively to it.
It means that the censorship policies of the corporations affect our safe space here.

[–] lagoon8622@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 days ago

Also, a lot of Lemminators are well into their advanced years and remember ancient times when the web was different. This fresh corporate web is, understandably, annoying af.

Not me obviously, I'm fresh out of the womb

[–] Elgenzay@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 days ago

It's only meant to do the first thing

[–] prettybunnys@piefed.social -2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Maybe we should stop spreading censored memes and normalizing them.
