Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:
Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.
Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed.
Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.

Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.
Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Even though it will send the US into a depression I can't wait until the world dedollarizes and causes a collapse of the US financial industry, my country is out of control and centrists here don't even remotely get how dangerous the cancerous empire of the US has become.
Centrists here think if we just elect Gavin Newsom the ship will right and the rest of the world will just forget the last ~10 years.

The loss in trust may be permanent, but I think there is still a real desire to develop new good relations. If the US were to pass meaningful reforms and approach old allies on a more equal footing in real negotiation and not primarily the role as the big bad bully, I think a new framework of trust could be slowly built again.
Joining the ICC and not threatening invasion if they dare try to hold an American accountable would be a good start.

Imo, " most people" simply don't want to know. Denial is a human condition, and it doesn't have an age, education or colour.
Destruction of the US shouldn't be a goal. It's especially the current US Gvment and their zealous crazy ideology that is the enemy, if you ask me. Same one as some other well-known known sickly "empires'. And it didn't just happen overnight or in 2025, there were many signs before that.
Leave aside the issue of blame. Other nations have no leverage to change the U.S. government. It's arguably even beyond our influence, but Americans have the best shot at changing it. All that others can do is to try to tear down the whole empire, and it's in their existential self-interest to try. If that leaves us Americans caught in the middle, that's just harsh reality. Denial is human, but if we want to escape it, we have to get organized.

You Americans voted a second time for orange man, though knowing very well what will happen. The US system allowed it, so, yes, the current system in the US needs to be destroyed to prevent that something similar may happen ever again.
A lot of uneducated folks voted for him thinking it would help the economy, and to note, it was less than a third of our populace.
I think misinformation did more damage than anything. So many people didn't vote because Kamala wasn't pro Palestine enough for them as just one example. People were really feeling the flames to disengage our voter base, with lies like, both parties are the same, your vote is meaningless, a cabal is really controlling it all anyways why vote?
And it would be foolish to think that misinformation is just limited to the US. It hit brexit hard, and it is coming for other more stable countries next as nefarious powers seek to upset the current world order.
