Orphan crushing machine vibe.

I know this is supposed to be a positive community but...It's illegal for companies to discriminate against people who need service animals and there's government incentives for hiring veterans. I'm not saying that means discrimination never happens, but just providing that context. Keep in mind that Lowe's, like basically all large corporations, is using those Flock AI cameras and sharing the data with cops. They don't need your good graces. The rules say no politics, so I imagine that means not discussing the wars this guy probably served in.

I appreciate you posting content to the community though. Not trying to discourage posting here, just adding that context in case people outside the US were not aware. Im assuming this is in the US.

Some nice marketing for Lowe's right there

Gotta whitewash handing innocent people over to ICE, somehow...

Yes, but I'll allow it for the dog.

USA is so fucking weird.
"Look, we're such a great and generous company, we don't even force a disabled person to leave the service dog they depend on at home while they work for us."
Congrats for not being comic book villain evil, I guess?

Legally they had to allow it anyway, or simply not hire him. I’ve worked with plenty of people with service animals, it’s just not a big deal if they have proper paperwork.

If that was the sole reason they can't hire him, he'd be able to sue, too.

Sure it's a weird place, but also take this random image with text above it with a grain of salt.

Is this not mandatory? What kind of twisted society wouldn't consider that the most obvious and yet the absolute lowest-level solution?

Rhetorical question, of course.

This is definitely a TRUE MEME. What that is, of unaware, is a meme that's actually based on FACKS. You can TRUST this TRUE meme as if it were the encyclopedia Britannica.

Thank you, fact-checking entity from the Internet. I believe your wise words and I choose to trust you, you who use capitals with great discernment. AMEN!🙏

Home Depot lets customers bring dogs - my dog always liked visiting. Does Lowe's?

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Nah, you gotta work there.

[–] caboose2006@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Why would that be a barrier to employment? Fucking hate this place.
