You can't even say it's tourism from the mcu movies because like mutants being an allegory for poc and the cops being the government is central to all x-men stuff.

The allegory works fine for a reader, but if I were a dude in that universe I would be fucking terrified of what mutants are capable of, sometimes just by accident cause they dont have control of their powers. You've got dudes who can control all metal, the weather, people's minds and this can just develop in any random person. That is scary.
