A literal loser who got his seat spoon fed back to him is the conservative messiah? A smart mouthed career politician who hasn't worked a day in his life for those hard working "salt of the earth" trad family types always blows my mind. I'm tired of the yapping. Given the current economical state I'd always choose the career banker over this.

I was all for the guy before Trudeau left the picture.
But I'm not that smart, so I fell for his tactics.
I don't think he's the guy for the job,
but then again, who is?
Great, will PP now denounce Alberta’s separation agenda?
My guess is he will not and he’ll continue licking the boots of our southern pedophile predators.
Temu Trump.
Pierre knows those people vote Conservative.
A party spokesperson tells me 2,558 ballots were cast in this leadership review election. That's a 95 per cent turnout.
This is the stat I haven’t seen anyone discussing here yet. Poilievre is overwhelmingly the modern Conservative’s ride or die.
only finger pointed delegates, present at the convention could vote… the whole thing was rigged to ensure only the most rabid fans would vote
At $1000 a seat at the convention, it isn't just rabid fans, it is elites with money to spend on buying politicians to do what they are told for donations.
Lack of other conservative options most likely.
Good news for Carney
Why?
Because Canadians that aren't deep cons hate the guy.
Carney won the last election because enough voters from the Bloc and NDP base wanted PP to lose so bad that they voted Liberal even though they were due to lose.
It's true. I plugged my nose and voted Liberal. With the certainty that a Blue party dickwad was going to win in my riding, but still.
There's a lot like you. I'm going to admit that I've been voting Liberal for a few years now. I voted conservative for probably 20 years, but there's been a big shift in my voting because there's been a big shift in partisan politics in this country. Never fathomed the day I'd be voting NDP or Liberal when I was younger, but here we are. And it's not like I'm really all that Liberal or all that NDP (I'm not NDP leaning really at all - except I'm in Alberta so provincially we only effectively have two choices).
The conservatives, especially at the federal and (Alberta) provincial level are just way too gross for me though. And even if they eject the radicals at some point, I just don't trust them now. It's party rule by memes, insults, slogans, corruption and borderline racism/facism.
I'm glad 87% of partisan bootlickers voted for this guy. Because there's really not many others that will in the broader elections. I wouldn't say he's closing ground either, if anything he's furthering the gap. So this is all a weird strategy for Conservatives, at least in my irrelevant opinion.
My sentiments align with Conservatives but I've voted Liberal the last few times because of the crazies within the Conservative party.
Unfortunately he is pretty young so if the cons keep him around long enough he will get his turn when the electorate tires of the liberals and the left vote splits.
FPTP is a garbage system.
I voted liberal in 2015 to change our voting system. That didn't pan out.
I know this is not what people like you want to hear but that was never going to happen. Ontario literally voted down changes to that in a referendum not too long before 2015.
If you want to see actual electoral reform it's better to start at the bottom so the electorate is forced to interact with it. Municipal elections are easier to influence and don't have so many competing parties that benefit from different systems. We were poised to do this in Ontario but Doug has rolled that back for obvious reasons.
Yup. All we got was PP, or the Conservative party at least, getting a win after becoming even more extreme and Carney, someone who has absolutely proven that he does not care about the working class, as the leader of the country.
Insane that we always tell ourselves that it’s the left that needs to give up their beliefs to bolster the center and never the the center that needs to grow a spine and support the left.
I voted NDP, and I’m going to keep doing it. The Liberals do not represent me in the slightest and will not get the benefit of my voice.

Yeah, it's not looking good for him on the national stage. What are "Accessible CPC?"
I'm guessing voters who could consider voting Tory but aren't set in their support for a specific party.
This is correct.
Idk I'm having the opposite reaction. That's about half the country thinking he's doing at least fine.
the way PP had to stack the votes to get this is akin to "my mom says I'm the nicest boy there is"
Lol
