Trump launched the new initiative at the World Economic Forum earlier this week

U.S. President Donald Trump said late Thursday that he is withdrawing an invitation for Prime Minister Mark Carney to join his "Board of Peace" initiative for Gaza.

Trump launched the new initiative at the World Economic Forum, in Davos, Switzerland. Its stated aim is to rebuild the war-ravaged territory.

Some 35 countries have signed up to join the board, but Carney had not yet said if Canada would accept Trump's invitation. The prime minister was not at the official launch in Davos and instead was attending the first day of a cabinet retreat in Quebec City.

Lmfao it’s so fucking comical.

  • Carney certainly couldn’t give less of a shit; nor should he
  • nobody and no country worth a damn anymore give a shit about orangeboi’s wish.com UN knockoff, or think that it will have any meaningful - let alone positive - impact. Not to mention, the group is such a hilariously obvious shakedown attempt.

This is 10/10 “I don’t want to come to your party” “WELL YOU CAN’T COME BECAUSE I’M UNINVITING YOU >:(“. Fucking kindergarten-grade rhetoric. What a time to be alive.

Dollar General United Nations

Donny Tantrum is just upset, because none of his "real" friends shoved up. Only few "fillers". 3 of the cool fat kids did showed up, because they were promised cake, but they said they are not joining Donny's BFF club.

The cake is a lie.

Sounds like he clearly cares more about his ego than international peace, no?

A world leader being so obviously childishly petty with serious international matters that shamefully embarrasses their country on the world stage and damages their relationships with other nations will blow up in their face big time.

Maybe his party will vote him out and replace him this month, to save face and avoid prolonging a scandal? That's how it'd go in the UK, at least.

...Can he outlast a lettuce?

You've clearly not been paying attention. It's trump's party, now. Any serious descenting opinions have been routed out such as Liz Cheney. And it's not just politicians. What's left are the cowed and the sycophant. Sure, there has been descent in the ranks such as releasing the Epstein files but when asked about their justification it's all fallen short of overt criticism of Trump. Nothing of the sort that could feasibility depose him. And the Democrats cravenly refuse to broach the subject, thinking that Trump is now electoral poison. A mistake they continue to make.

Lol, he's a dictator with a chokehold on his party. We're so far beyond normal democratic politics that we've reached the same stage as Germany in the 1930s. The only thing stopping Trump from invading Greenland is preparation and bigger conflicts that might distract him. It'll probably happen by the end of the year tbh

Really going for that Nobel Peace Prize. When he doesn’t get one next year, his board will create their own lifetime achievement award to bestow upon him which will only ever be given out once which makes it way more special and meaningful than an annual scandi prize. Basically the ceremony Tom Cruise got for his scientology medal. It’ll be that but more gaudy.

But he already got it, that Venezuelan politician gave it to him! Totally voluntarily of course! (Don't tell him it's not the price itself but only the medal)

The moment both the Europeans and China declined this entire exercise was already pointless. With Pakistan already accepting the invite, I get the feeling that India will decline on principle, making the dictators' club even more pointless.

Too many see him as comedy value but don't get just how much harm he has caused to the US. I'm European, so enjoying reading how the EU is finally releasing the bonds that expose us to long term risks.
