(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump sued JPMorgan Chase & Co. and its chief executive officer, Jamie Dimon, for at least $5 billion over allegations that the lender stopped offering him and his businesses banking services for political reasons.

The complaint, filed Thursday, accuses the bank of trade libel and breach of implied covenant of good faith. It also claims Dimon violated Florida’s deceptive trade practices law. In response, the bank said it doesn’t close accounts for political or religious reasons.

Just a shakedown in hopes of a settlement. And JPM will probably cave instead of letting it go to court. Which is stupid, because if you let him have money now, he will just come back for more later. Blackmailers never stop.

Nice bank you’ve got there…shame if something happened to it.

My second favourite Presidential assassination theory is that the Fed orchestrated Kennedy's assassination in response to Kennedy's desire to nationalize the private banking cartel that is the Federal Reserve.

My favourite is that they'll do it again. ;)

You believe the banker profession hasn't been hollowed out by the radical belief in markets taking care of everything? Hollowed out as in losing the skillset needed to take care of business in back alleys. 😄

I believe you don't know what I believe.

Now I know one belief. I believe you're right about the rest. :D

It's stuff like this that makes me seriously doubt any kind of "deep state" exists.

Hmm yes, should I exert my energy defending your bank or my local populace?
