This moron also uses the auto pen

[–] glitch1985@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

No way. He signs every pair of shoes and cellphone he sells which is why he works 500 hours a week.

[–] GaryGhost@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago

Auto sharpie

We need to arrest that 80 year old cancer patient because he did things every president before him has done for 50 years, and more importantly , the current moron in chief CURRENTLY STILL DOES. Every accusation is a confession.

Robotic autopens have been around for 90+ years. Even Thomas Jefferson used a mechanical signature-duplicating contraption called a polygraph. It was not automated or even electric, but it allowed one to sign two pages at once. That was well over 200 years ago.

in fairness we've had a lot of shitty presidents do a lot of shitty things over the past 50 years.

[–] 4grams@awful.systems 3 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I actually kind of want him to succeed in this. If we manage to get ourselves out of this fucking nightmare, we’re going to need to undo a lot of damage, and this would open up one much needed tool.

[–] NauticalNoodle@lemmy.ml 2 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

arresting members of past administrations? yeah, okay. I'm in.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 2 points 5 hours ago

It's not as if any president in living memory hasn't committed terrible crimes, so yeah

[–] t00l@lemmy.world 13 points 21 hours ago

If anyone proves that being physically present does not guarantee being mentally present it is Donald Trump.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 11 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

What law was broken? The Trump Doesn't Like It law?

[–] sturmblast@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago

Trump is a mentally ill pedophile.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump used an autopen all the time in his first failure of a presidency.

[–] UltraMagnus0001@lemmy.world 6 points 19 hours ago

And a few this time and the only reason he knew is because it was called to his attention.

[–] HarneyToker@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

A precedent was set in 2005 that stated the president "need not personally perform the physical act of affixing his signature to a bill" and may direct a subordinate to use an autopen, as long as the president has approved and decided to sign it

[–] Doorbook@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago

Horrible people can say the write thing. While this is not a law, making it illegal would be a good idea.

Unfortunately that will never happen.

[–] favoredponcho@lemmy.zip 42 points 1 day ago

Trump is a pedophile.

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 1 points 17 hours ago

How does this shitstain manage to look himself in the mirror?

[–] riskable@programming.dev 88 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Oh? Does he really want to set a legal precedent that a sitting president can undo the pardons of prior presidents?

Perhaps he's on to something! 🤣

[–] ech@lemmy.ca 53 points 1 day ago (8 children)

Take a moment to consider why he's not concerned about a next president.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He doesn't intend for there to be any other sitting presidents after him. At least not before he's dead.

I thought the POTUS couldn’t break the law? Or does that go out the window once they’re not sitting? Does Trump really want to set THAT precedent?

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 31 points 1 day ago (7 children)

When the president does it, that means that it is not illegal.

...says the guy who doesn't even know what half the people he's pardoned were even in prison for.

Trump, the Supreme Court said otherwise regarding the presidency to save your ass, you fucking dipshit.

[–] dan1101@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (3 children)

He is only concerned over illegal actions by Democrats, the poors, and brown people. Everyone else gets congratulations.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 22 hours ago

It's not an illegal action.

[–] Jumbie@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 day ago

Made up illegal actions.

[–] orbitz@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

Heck for a good contribution you get a pardon too. Can even not be white for the right amount. Only people he says one nice thing about are people who've fluffed him up. If you've said no once to him you're on his shit list.

Awesome leader there United States, hah he's a LINO anyways, leader in name only. It's really president Miller, the guy who got into politics cause he's too weak to strangle prostitutes.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (2 children)

If biden get arrested. Trump would be next

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 18 hours ago

Don't presidents have immunity?

[–] elvith@feddit.org 35 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Only if it was an official act. To determine whether an act was official is easy, just refer to this chart:

  • Trump: Yes, it was an official act.
  • Someone else: No, it wasn't.
[–] SoloCritical@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Yeah it’s pretty apparent that whoever is in charge gets to decide what’s official and what isn’t. Miller himself even confirmed might makes right.

white house breaks the law daily... can we get some arrests there?

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

One month past the Epstein files release date. Still finding media disctractions.

[–] roserose56@lemmy.zip 0 points 17 hours ago

Can't wait for Biden to get deported! who's next?

[–] bunkyprewster@startrek.website 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Somebody doesn't know how to work the auto pen

[–] isVeryLoud@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He's actually auto-penned a bunch of stuff during both presidencies.

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Auto sharpie.
