Gas is free if you have a hose and know how to siphon

He was always going to go against those who ran against him.
People who debate whether or not we will have elections are missing the point. We will have elections, but Trump will "investigate" the Democrats. Partly to build a public narrative that they did something wrong and that the Republican candidate is the better moral choice, but also to intimidate the opposition.
Remember that Nixon was forced to resign before getting impeached for simply wiretapping the opposition. Imagine the reactions if he weaponised his government against them instead.

Also to be fair, the Republicans did the same thing in the 1990s because Bill Clinton lied about getting a blowjob from an intern. (The impeachment was not over the extramarital sexual act, it was over lying about it ("I did not have sexual relations with that woman").)
So, it isn't new. It just seems wider spread now, and it points to sour grapes that Trump is going after a past opponent now. Likely to test the waters for going after future opponents.

They pulled the punch enough to ensure he didn't see jail time and instead just got really mad. A brilliant strategy that is paying dividends for America now as he seeks revenge against a party that has done everything in their power to ensure he got back in office in 2025.

They were happy to keep them buried, two of their majors (both clintons) are implicated and surely a boatload of their donors are in there too. None of this Epstein stuff would be happening if the GOP base hadn't clamped onto it in the deluded belief that only democrats are pedos, now the GOP is in a tight spot. You don't have to hand it to them, but the dems were smarter and kept the lid on tight about pedo shit because it could harm everybody.

We're a decade into Q anon whose primary "issue" has been calling the democrats pedophiles. Q has infected even the crunchy granola apolitical libs, the pedophile thing has definitely harmed the dems.
The dems are very defensive. They were happy to crow about sexual assault with the Me Too movement, it was front and center for a few years. The instant there was an accuser against Biden (plus decades of Biden being a public figure who is pathologically unable to keep his hands off any woman or girl on stage with him) the dems dropped Me Too like a hot rock and it's been dead for five years now.
But their exposure is basically clintons and gates, for people willing to throw metoo and blm under the bus, throwing those under the bus seems trivial

If you're a communist, sure. These are liberals. Their donors are representatives of their own economic class. They have solidarity with their economic class. There aren't consequences for them losing a race, but there absolutely are consequences for acting as class traitors.
