He was supposed to be the caring and empathetic one before the slavers got him.
Even later he occasionally got pretty good takes, like the one moment he called Emps tyrant and slaver and he would like to kill him for it... and he told that to Leman fucking Russ out of all people, straight to his face.
Primarch Empathron got bullied too much growing up and keeps to themselves mostly now
I think Americans will respond very normally to the guy with red skin and devil magic who quotes the Bible as an example of backwards traditionalism when he becomes president and starts implementing progressive policies.
